Unbroken:Sanctum takes place in the lands of the Holy Lands within the Holy Human Empire, twenty years after the civil war, where a bloody plague has now consumed the Empire. Within the Holy Lands, only two religions exist, the Moon and Sun Churches. While the Empire seeks to destroy both religions, the first target is the Moon Church.
Within the Church, the cathedral’s leader, Beryl Onigawu seeks to find the cure the plague to prevent the destruction of her religion, aided by a few unexpected observers. However, it’s not just the Empire seeking to destroy the Moon Church and their followers.
Unbroken:Sanctum is a very special personal project to me, and one I have been working on for some time! I started off wanting to make this a Webtoon, but after I graduated from SCAD, I wanted to more lean into the storyboard and production side of it.
I now spend my free time between contracts hopping around different key or fun points of the story and board them. I post weekly or bi-weekly updates on Youtube and SpeakerDeck. The story may not make sense for a bit, as I skip around different parts of the overall story, but eventually it should have all of it boarded to get the whole story.
BEYOND THE CAGED WALLS
Beyond The Caged Walls is a short mini series following three characters, Vivin, Rein, and Advis, as they escape from a maximum security testing facility in the far future. All children born have a chance of developing powers at the age of six, and are quickly taken away from their parents to contribute to the progression of humanity. Those who remain in the facility are brought up by the “Overseers” who train them to become warriors for the state. However, three of the children, Vivin, Rein, and Advis have learned of a world outside the facility and plan their escape.
2024
This is the first part of the story of Vivin, while she was a child, and before she had known both her powers and when they would awaken. Unfortunately, they activated against one of the fellow children, beloved by the main Overseer, “Ari”.
